Silver Shine Home Care Services is here to help reduce fall risks and improve safe, independent living for your loved ones at home.
Our compassionate and trained caregivers receive training for fall risk assessment and prevention. They can provide you the assistance so you can safely perform daily tasks. They can also serve as a companion to your doctors’ visits, grocery trips, and social engagements.
We will conduct a Fall Risk Assessment to identify the factors that could contribute to incidents of falls in the home so you can live an independent and fulfilling life.
We will:
- Provide recommendations for securing a safe home environment.
- Review the patient’s history of falling
- Review all medications taken by the patient
- Monitor the patient’s cardiovascular status, heart rate, rhythm, and blood pressure
- Evaluate gait and balance
- Evaluate strengths and function of the lower extremities
- Establish a home exercise program with balance training
- Instruct the patient to wear nonslip footwear or properly fitting shoes.
- Place assistive devices, such as walkers and canes, within their reach
- Educate the patient and family members regarding the care plan
